While the article ends in a note of resignation, we recommend a proven first step toward a better future: Everyone receives base pay at a competitive level determined by the marketplace, along with annual cash incentive pay AND long-term deferred incentive pay linked to profitable growth (the income statement.) Good for the company, good for the 1% and good for the rest of us.
